Privacy policy

SheGo is a ride service for women only. Your privacy and safety are the foundation of the service. This policy explains what data we collect, why, who can see it, and how you control it.

What we collect

Your phone number, to create your account and sign you in, and your name if you give one.

A selfie for identity verification, reviewed once by a member of our team. For drivers: the documents required to drive and your vehicle details.

Your location while you use the app, to set your pickup and track your trip. A driver's location is recorded while she is available for rides.

Trip details: pickup and drop-off, fare, payment method, ratings, and in-trip chat messages.

A driver's InstaPay address, if she adds one.

Audio recording

Recording is optional and never starts without your consent on each trip. The recording is encrypted on your phone before upload, and the key to decrypt it stays on your phone only, so nobody — including us — can listen to it.

A recording is heard only if you choose to attach it to a trip report. Then only the support team can listen, every access is logged, and the key is deleted as soon as the report is closed. Recordings are deleted automatically after 30 days.

How we use your data

We use your data to run trips and match you with a driver, to keep you safe (such as sharing trips with trusted contacts, the emergency button and route-deviation checks), to resolve complaints, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who sees what

Your driver sees your name and your pickup and drop-off during the trip only. Calls go through a masked number when that service is available.

Your trusted contacts receive the trip-tracking link and emergency alerts.

Our support and verification team can see what is needed to review identity, documents and reports, and every access to sensitive data is logged.

How long we keep it

Audio recordings: 30 days. Trip and payment records: kept for as long as the law and dispute resolution require, even after you delete your account, but without your name or phone number.

Your rights

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion removes your personal details, verification selfie, recordings, contacts and saved places, and deactivates the account.
